By Aaron Humes: U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States has conducted military strikes on several nuclear facilities in Iran. The targeted locations include Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, which are known for their nuclear and military significance.
According to President Trump’s statement via X, the operation has been deemed successful, and U.S. planes have exited Iranian airspace.
“A full payload of bombs was dropped on the primary site, Fordow,” Trump said, extending congratulations to those who carried out the raid: “There is not another military in the world that could have done this.”
The U.S. has been weighing whether to involve itself in the conflict between Iran and Israel which have been exchanging attacks for several days. Iran has previously threatened retaliation if the U.S. chooses to get involved.
Trump added, “NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!”, alluding to potential negotiations to control Iran’s path to nuclear power and potential weaponry.
