Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit joined regional leaders today in a ceremonial Joint Sitting of the Parliament of Saint Lucia held in honor of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The tribute underscored the growing alliance between African nations and Caribbean states, with Prime Minister Skerrit’s presence signaling Dominica’s unwavering commitment to strengthening Africa-Caribbean relations.
Following the official proceedings, Prime Minister Skerrit participated in a working lunch alongside fellow Heads of Government and Ministers of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) to explore deeper cooperation between Africa and the Caribbean.
“Dominica fully supports the advancement of Africa-Caribbean relations,” said Prime Minister Skerrit in a Facebook post. “Together, we can chart a path toward greater economic opportunity and social progress for our peoples.”
