On 27 March, the AB Simón Bolívar Training Vessel “The Ambassador without Borders” belonging to the Bolivarian Navy, docked in the Port of St George as part of the XXXV Foreign Training Cruise “Caribbean Alliance 2025.”
Upon its arrival, the vessel was received by His Excellency the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Grenada Jorge Alfonso Guerrero Veloz who welcomed the crew composed of cadets from the Bolivarian Military University, officers of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and technical personnel.

The welcome ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of Grenada to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Hassan Hadeed, representing the Government of Grenada. During the welcoming remarks, the ambassador recounted the historical relationship between Grenada and Venezuela, pointing out its gradual strengthening through Venezuelan cooperation initiatives, highlighting ALBA-TCP and PetroCaribe.
During their stay in Grenada, the crew of the vessel had planned a floral offering to the bust of the Liberator Simón Bolívar in the square located in La Calome, St David and the delivery of educational material to the country’s schools. Likewise, they offered a special schedule of guided tours for local students between 8:30 am and 1 pm on Friday and opened their doors to the general public from 1 pm to 6 pm.
The visit of the Ambassador Without Borders, through its Caribbean Alliance Training Cruise, highlights the commitment of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace to the strengthening of historical ties with the Caribbean, transmitting a message of peace and solidarity, while offering a unique opportunity for the community to learn about life on board, as well as the educational mission of this historic vessel.
