As the national clean-up campaign continues, the National Solid Waste will see some rezoning taking place to assist in bulk waste collection.
The decision came from Cabinet.
“It is proving to be not really a challenge but hard work for the Solid Waste Management Authority since it was decided that there will be a national cleanup campaign and so it is believed that tweaking of the zones will facilitate the removal of bulk waste.”
“It’s amazing that it was reported that this week you will go into one particular area and remove piles and piles of bulk waste, and you return next week and there are piles and piles of bulk waste again and so that’s a challenge and they are working at rezoning,” Cabinet Spokesperson Maurice Merchant explained.
