By Aaron Humes: Days after having charges against her in court dismissed, former nurse Idi McDougall is returning to the United States to reunite with her family.
McDougall, who is reported to face struggles with mental health, faced charges of obtaining service by deception following an incident on May 19 at the Spoonaz Reggae Café. Her card was declined while attempting to pay for a meal, leading to her arrest. Unable to meet bail, she was remanded to the Belize Central Prison, which ignited a wave of public outrage and concern for her well-being. However, Spoonaz dropped the charges the very next day, leading to her release.

The United States Embassy in Belize reached out to Magdaleno, seeking assistance in reuniting McDougall with her family in the U.S. Earlier today, Magdaleno accompanied her to the Philip Goldson International Airport, where she began her journey back home.
Once reunited with her family, McDougall is anticipated to receive essential support for her mental health.
