Several individuals have been taken into custody following a coordinated marine and land-based operation carried out overnight on Monday, June 17, 2025.
The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed the arrests in a statement issued Tuesday, noting that the joint operation involved officers and resources from the RVIPF, the Department of Immigration, His Majesty’s Customs, and other unnamed external law enforcement agencies.
While confirming the detentions, police did not disclose the number of individuals arrested, the exact location or locations of the operation, the nature of the suspected offences, or whether any contraband was recovered.
The RVIPF said only that the operation forms part of ongoing multi-agency efforts to address cross-border criminal activity and to enhance territorial security.
“The investigation remains active, and further information will be provided in due course,” the statement read.
Residents are awaiting further details as law enforcement continues its crackdown on illegal activity in and around the territory’s borders.
