Richie’s Shooterz and Sledge’O Ballers were comfortable winners in the Cool & Smooth Business Basketball League on Tuesday, when action continued with a double-header at the JSC basketball complex.
Contesting the first game of a double-header, Shooterz made light work of Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance to win 91-53. Devorn Benjamin led the charge for Shooterz with a game-high of 34 points with four assists and three steals. There were contributions of 23 points from Jaheem James and 17 from Tajahron Davis all in the winning effort.
For Corner Stone Builders & Maintenance, Yohan Nicholas recorded a double-double with 19 points and 19 rebounds while Raheem Sawyer contributed with 10 points.
In the feature contest, Sledge’O Ballers defeated ACT 73-66. Kareem Edwards top-scored for the victors with 25 points while grabbing 14 rebounds, dishing four steals and blocking six shots. Bernard Andrew sank 19 points with Morlon Davis adding 14 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double. Dajon George chipped in with 11 points.
For ACT, Henry Dorsette hit 24 points while Ryan Shepherd added 14 points and 14 rebounds to the effort.
