The National Co-operative Credit Union (NCCU) Limited celebrated a significant milestone, marking its 15th anniversary with an awards ceremony on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event took place at the State House Conference Room, bringing together key figures and stakeholders to honor the organization’s journey and achievements, as per an NCCU media release.
During the ceremony, reported NCCU, 35 distinguished individuals were recognized for their essential contributions to the historic 2010 merger that established the organization. This pivotal event involved the consolidation of five local credit unions—La Salette, St. Paul, Vieille Case, Roseau, and St. David’s—forming what NCCU said is now the largest credit union in Dominica and the broader Eastern Caribbean region. The celebration was graced by the presence of Her Excellency President Sylvanie Burton and the First Gentleman, alongside the Honourable Minister for Culture, Youth, Sports & Community Development, Gretta Roberts.

Today, the institution boasts a membership exceeding 54,000 individuals, maintaining a strong financial footing.
Mr. Clement Marcellin, Chair of the NCCU Board of Directors, underscored the importance of translating organizational growth into tangible benefits for members and local communities.
