The general public is notified that the following traffic arrangements will be in effect for the annual Pump It Up Walkathon carded for Sunday, 4 May 2025, at 4 pm from Morne Rouge to the National Stadium.
All vehicular traffic towards the Town of St George from the Western Corridor will travel along the stadium Ring Road from its intersection with Cherry Hill unto Cemetery Hill, Old Fort and Lucas Street.
All vehicular traffic towards the Town of St George from the Southern Corridor will travel along the Grand Anse Public Road, Kirani James Boulevard, to The Carenage.
NO ENTRY: Vehicular traffic will not be allowed to travel in the direction of Grand Anse along the following Roads:
- Port Highway from its intersections with Burns Point roundabout and Alleyne Francique roundabout
- Kirani James Boulevard, with its intersection with Alleyne Francique roundabout and Belmont public road
- Belmont public road from its intersection with Springs and Gleans Road unto Grand Anse
- Old Fort public road from its junction with Lucas Street
- Cemetery Hill from its junction with Church Street
Public parking
Public parking will be available in the following areas:
- Concrete area car park at the Athletic Stadium
- Behind the National Stadium, within the vicinity of the Cricket Net, entering from the Ring Road through Gate 6
- On the right side of the ring road, in the direction of Wesley College playing field
Parking to the front of the Kirani James Athletic Stadium will be restricted to allow for VIPs/dignitaries only, and people with special permits from the Pump IT UP Committee
NO PARKING ZONE:
No parking will be allowed in the following areas on either side of the road:
- Queen’s Park road from its junction with the Green Bridge to the National Stadium
- River Road from La Qua Brothers Crematorium to the first Vendor’s booth on the left
- National Stadium main entrance public way from Green Bridge
ONE WAY:
- Grand Anse public road with its intersections with Wall Street roundabout unto Kirani James roundabout
- The entire Stadium Ring Road from its intersection with Cherry Hill
- River Road public road will be made into one-way in the direction of Mt Gay, St George at the conclusion of the Walkathon
Motorists are urged to use alternative routes to get to and from their destinations.
