The Virgin Islands Track & Field Federation proudly announces the successful participation of Omar Simpson at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Toruń, Poland.

Competing on March 20, Simpson lined up in lane two of the men’s 400m—one of the tightest and most technically demanding lanes on the indoor oval. Despite the challenge, he delivered a composed and disciplined race, finishing close to his seasonal best and demonstrating the competitive poise that has defined his development on the international stage.
Simpson’s performance reflects both his growing consistency and the VITFF’s continued commitment to supporting Virgin Islands athletes as they compete among the world’s best. His effort in Toruń stands as another meaningful step forward for the program and for the territory’s presence in global athletics.
The Virgin Islands Track & Field Federation extends its gratitude to the community for its ongoing support as our athletes continue to represent the territory with pride, resilience, and excellence.
