
Vice President of the United Workers Party (UWP) Attorney Ronald Charles was arrested and charged with unlawful assembly following protest action that took place on Victoria Street in Roseau on March 19.
Charles, who appeared before a Roseau Magistrate’s Court today, was granted bail on his own recognizance in the sum of $25,000.
Police sources told Dominica News Online (DNO) that a total of 24 persons have been arrested thus far, in relation to the protests.
Charles , who represents several of the people who have so far been arrested, is himself being represented by Attorney Geoffrey Letang.
Investigations into the matter continue.
