The Virgin Islands Lottery wishes to provide a sincere update on the ongoing efforts to restore operations following the recent cyberattack that impacted our systems.
We are nearing the completion of the required audits of the last 10 draws then we will be uploading the information to our Point Of Sale (POS) system, then enter the test phase. The process has taken us longer than we had anticipated as this process is very tedious. We have to ensure that the information is 100 percent accurate. In the interest of transparency and accuracy, we will refrain from projecting a specific completion date until we are confident it can be met.
Our plan is to do Draw number 1047 one day after we open and continue ticket sales for drawing No. 1048, shortly thereafter. We have already printed the remainder of tickets for draw number 1048 that were not yet sold prior to the cyberattack.
We understand the inconvenience this has caused our loyal patrons, dealers, and partners, and we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please know that this situation is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and our top priority is to resume service in a way that is both secure and reliable.
We remain committed to open communication and will continue to provide updates through our official website and social media platforms.
In closing, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated employees of the Virgin Islands Lottery, whose tireless efforts and professionalism have been instrumental throughout this recovery process.
