Moisture and instability associated with a trough system are expected to continue affecting the region during the next 2 days. Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers are expected, which could be moderate to heavy at times. These conditions are expected to maintain high soil moisture levels, increasing the risk of runoff, landslides and rockfalls. Persons living in or traversing vulnerable areas should remain alert and exercise caution.
Breezy conditions are expected to persist over the next couple of days.
A slight increase in swells is possible today, with wave heights peaking near 7 feet along the west coast and up to 10 feet along the east coast and in open waters. An increase in wave periods may also result in enhanced ground swells. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect. Mariners and other sea users are advised to remain alert and exercise caution.
