
A strong tropical wave is affecting the region. The system now has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression as it moves across the island chain tonight. Locally heavy rainfall and gusty winds are expected across Dominica tonight and into tomorrow morning. A Flood Watch is in effect until 6am and may be extended or discontinued thereafter. People in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks should remain on alert.
Moderate to rough seas are anticipated tonight, with wave heights expected to peak near 7 feet along the west coast and up to near12 feet along the east coast. All users of the sea are strongly advised to take action to safeguard life and property. Sea-bathers should stay out of the water. Motorists and those traversing coastal roadways should exercise caution.
