Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave, interacting with an upper-level trough, are expected to continue affecting the area into Sunday morning. This will bring cloudy to overcast skies with showers and periods of rain, some moderate to heavy at times, with thunderstorms.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday. Residents, especially those in flood-prone areas, are strongly advised to remain on alert and exercise extreme caution. Possible impacts include flooding of rivers, ravines, low-lying bridges and streets, along with landslides and falling rocks in vulnerable areas.
Slight to moderate seas are also expected over the next 24 hours, with wave heights reaching up to 3 feet along the west coast and up to 5 feet along the east coast.
