After four days of intense pickleball action on the courts of Pickleball Cayman, winners have emerged from the 2025 Total Health Cayman Islands Open.
The competition, hosted from 4-7 Dec., saw a mix of local players and international pros battle for supremacy across open and senior divisions.
In the open division, the individual glory in singles went to John Cangelosi, who clinched the gold in men’s singles, with Richard Livornese Jr. taking silver and Armando Ferreira securing bronze.
For the women, Nicole Pitts emerged as the gold medalist in women’s singles, followed by Alexa Schull with silver and Amanda Hendry with bronze.
Livornese Jr. continued his strong showing, partnering with Zachary Marceau to win gold in men’s doubles. Jack Foster and Andre Mick earned silver, while the bronze went to Cangelosi and Balint Bako.
In the women’s doubles, Jillian Braverman and Schull secured the gold, with
Hendry and Riley Bohnert taking home the silver. Pitts and Casey Rodgers made the podium with bronze.
For the open mixed doubles, pro players Braverman and Aidan Schenk emerged to the top, claiming the gold medal. Livornese Jr. and Hendry secured the silver, and Jack Foster alongside Riley Bohnert earned the bronze.
The senior division also delivered exciting matchups, with Peter Azar rising to the top of the podium in men’s singles with a gold medal, followed by Richard Celler with silver and David Kaye with bronze.
The men’s doubles saw David Allott and Munir Ali combine forces to win gold. Jerry Beck and Celler secured silver, while David Kaye and Keith O’Brien earned bronze.
In the women’s doubles, Leslie Jackson and Emma Simmons were crowned gold medalists with Len Ibuyat and Isabella Settanni clinching silver and Tammy Goldfisher and Lilian Farkas taking bronze.
The senior mixed doubles gold was awarded to the duo of Beck and Tammy Goldfisher. Carlo Ylagan and Claire Hughes earned the silver medal, and Allott along with Lilian Farkas rounded out the podium with bronze.
