Young Caymanian Kalie Broderick is one of the stars of the 2025 comedy drama ‘Hidden Intentions’ now streaming on the US movie and television platform Fawesome TV.
The film is about relationships falling apart as secrets and ‘hidden intentions’ are revealed.
In her first major role, the 25-year-old from George Town stars as Brittany, the girlfriend of Derrick, who is having a hard time deciding who to be with while on a weekend getaway with Brianna. He also doesn’t know that Brittany is on to him and trying to catch him in the act of cheating, accompanied by her mother, Brandy.
Broderick said, “I’m overwhelmed with excitement about this film and being able to play such a big role in it because I know God has His hands all over it and that it will do numbers globally.”
The film’s producer, director and writer, Teremis Boykin, plays Derrick, starring alongside Esha Chambers, Natasha Barber, Isabela Patel and Jadian Fatu.
Commenting on her experience during filming, Broderick said, “I most enjoyed my days on set with the cast and crew, both filming and behind the scenes. Everyone in the cast and crew are humble and hilarious! There was not one dull moment or day on set, and it may sound cliche, but we really are our own family now.”

Broderick began her acting career at Red Bay Primary School, with her music/dance teacher allowing her to hone her love for and skills in acting and the performing arts.
“I was a lead character in all my primary school plays. Even after I graduated, I was chosen to play Hannah in Ms. Patricia’s play, ‘Hannah’s Confession,’ which was performed at Harquail Theatre in 2014. I continued participating in all the school plays at Cayman International School and … in all the plays at Cypress Bay High School in Florida during my education there as well.”
Broderick is working on another film which is set to be released next year.
