
The MV Resilient Lady (Virgin Voyages) made its inaugural call to Dominica yesterday.
It was docked at the Woodbridge Bay Port at Fond Cole.
A special ceremony took place aboard the ship which included the exchange of a plaque.
Representatives from Discover Dominica Authority (DDA), the shipping agency, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Dominica Air and Seaport Authority (DASPA) Ian Pinard, among others formed part of that ceremony.
According to an article on cruisedeck.com,, the Virgin Voyages Cruise Line Resilient Lady cruise ship, built in 1923, weighs 110K tons and has 1410 staterooms for up to 3102 passengers served by 1160 crew. There are 17 passenger decks, including 9 with cabins.
