Dominican artist Jerry Lloyd is gearing up to host a gospel concert titled “Sing, Rejoice, Praise, Testify” (SRPT), on May 30, 2025.
In his words, “This is a concert for all of Dominica—a National Event. It will be a night of open, honest sharing, with opportunities for sincere soul searching and an experience with our Lord, Jesus Christ.”
Jerry Lloyd launched his career in Gospel music in 1979 and describes himself as dedicating decades to delivering uplifting, heartfelt, and soul-stirring songs that emphasize a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the responsibilities that come with it.
Over his 46-year musical journey, he has produced numerous popular tracks such as “Satisfaction Guaranteed,” “Suffering in the Wilderness,” “Jesus is Sweeter,” “What You Gonna Do,” “Try Another Strategy,” “Lemme Go,” “Yo Passa Tchwer Mwenh,” “God Cares,” “God is Breaking the power of the enemy,” “Somebody Loves You,” “More Than a Feeling,” “Rise Up,” “You Can Do It Right,” “God’s Favour,” and “Heat In The Comfort Zone.”
During this concert, Lloyd is expected to perform a selection of these well-known songs, some of his current releases, and several new compositions.
Event organizers say that it will offer an opportunity for the people of Dominica to reflect on their lives, and their faith, and to gain encouragement that can positively influence their personal journeys.
The team also shared that the concert will take place at the Bill Daniel Memorial Park (adjacent to the Pentecostal Church) in Goodwill. It will commence at 8:00 PM sharp and will feature performances by Lily Octave, Julian Riviere—The Caribbean Cowboy—and N. Harmonikz from Cochrane. Each artist is expected to bring their unique style, enriching the evening’s program.
“There will be music and message for people of all ages and all walks of life,” says Jerry, whose music has resonated throughout Dominica, the Caribbean, and internationally. His extensive experience in Gospel music is expected to shape the quality and impact of the event.
Jerry will be supported by the band “Dynamics,” a talented group of young musicians and singers who are characterized as being passionate about their craft. Under the leadership of Chad Augustine—a musician, composer, and vocal coach—they look forward to delivering excellent musical accompaniment and background vocals.
Tickets can be purchased at Robinson’s Groceries, Robinson’s Bakery, Bullseye Pharmacy, and various churches across the island. The ticket prices are as follows: VIP $100, Adults $40, and Children under 16 $15.
Jerry encourages everyone to participate in this inspiring event!
