By Aaron Humes: Police have made two arrests following the disappearance of a gas tank from a popular food vendor’s business. The incident happened at “Tacos La Guerra,” in Orange Walk Town.
On August 13, 2025, shortly after securing the business on San Antonio Road, the owner received a call from a friend notifying her that a man, identified as Venancio Williams, was seen loitering around her establishment. Upon returning the next day, Valencia discovered that her black gas tank, hose, and regulator, valued at approximately $200, were missing.

After locating Williams, Valencia confronted him about the missing items. According to her statement, Williams admitted to taking the gas tank. This prompted Valencia to report the theft to the Orange Walk Police Station on August 23.
Williams was subsequently located and interviewed. His account led to the discovery of the stolen gas tank in the possession of Irvin Wright, a security guard.
Wright cooperated with authorities and voluntarily returned the gas tank to police. Both Williams, 48, and Wright, 38, were arrested and charged with theft and handling stolen goods, respectively. The gas tank was properly labeled and photographed as evidence before being returned to its rightful owner.
