By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Canoe Association (BCAnoe) is gearing up for one of the most anticipated paddling events of the season—the Annual Boom to Manatee Lookout Canoe Race, scheduled for Sunday, January 18, 2026, with the action starting at 10:00 am sharp from the Seguro waterside.
This high-energy river race will feature teams competing across four categories: Men, Mixed, Junior, and Open, offering a dynamic mix of seasoned paddlers and rising talent. Pre-registration opens on race day from 9:00 to 9:45 am, and the entry fee is $100.00 per team, which includes lunch for all participants.
🏁 The race promises a thrilling spectacle as canoes slice through the river en route to the iconic Manatee Lookout, a favorite finish line for fans and families. With the dry season in full swing, conditions are expected to be fast and competitive.
