The men of the Citizens Advisory Body, St Paul’s Policing District, extend deepest condolences to the family of Aleandra Lett Hypolite, whose tragic death has profoundly shaken our community and nation.
We stand in solemn solidarity with her parents, extended family, relatives, and loved ones during this period of immense grief and anguish. No family should endure such a devastating loss, and no community should remain indifferent or silent in the face of such violence.
As men of the community and of the Citizens Advisory Body working alongside law enforcement to promote respect, safety, accountability, and public trust, we strongly condemn all acts of sexual violence. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen prevention, encourage reporting, and ensure justice is pursued with diligence and integrity. Such conduct is an assault not only on an individual but on the dignity, security, and moral fabric of our society. We recognise this and other such acts as a violation of human life and dignity.
While the citizens demand swift justice for Aleandra and for others who have suffered similar fates in the recent and distant past, we call upon the public to remain calm, allow the investigative process to proceed without interference, and continue to cooperate fully with the Royal Grenada Police Force. Meaningful justice requires both patience and collective responsibility.
Let us, as a nation, recommit ourselves to protecting our women and girls and all children, upholding the rule of law, and fostering communities grounded in respect for human life. We therefore encourage zero tolerance to derogatory speech, harassment, attacks, rape and/or murder directed at our women and girls. We further call for respect for ALL human life.
To the family of Ms Hypolite, we offer our heartfelt sympathies. May the God of peace and comfort grant you strength and solace during this profoundly difficult time.
