Miss Anguilla Jasmin Ruan has been commended for her “outstanding” performance at the Caribbean Queen Pageant, despite not securing a title.
The Anguilla Festivals Committee said Ruan represented the island “with distinction, poise and grace” on the regional stage during the St Maarten Carnival 2026.
In a Facebook post on 16 April, she earned praise for embodying Anguilla’s culture and spirit throughout the competition.

On her return to the island, Ruan was welcomed with a bunch of flowers by Miss Anguilla Pageant chair Amber Woodley, who expressed pride in her performance.
“The Anguilla Festivals Committee is extremely proud of Jasmin’s performance and the professionalism she displayed throughout the competition,” Woodley said.
“She carried Anguilla with elegance and strength and we commend her for her dedication and hard work.”
The committee extended its congratulations to Ruan and pledged continued support as she progresses in her pageant journey.
Winning this year’s pageant was Emerle Tisson of St Lucia, with Kentonea Fortin of St Eustatius claiming first runner up and Keisy Quant of St Maarten with second runner up.
Ruan captivated the judges and audience alike to earn the title of Miss Anguilla 2025 at the Summer Festival pageant last year.
Five contestants competed under the theme, ‘She who believes, ultimately reigns’, in the spectacular show at the Landsome Bowl Cultural Centre on 5 August.
Ruan, whose platform was marine conservation and sustainable development, delivered a poised and powerful performance that secured her the coveted crown.
