Her message lingered beyond the conference setting because it spoke directly to something deeply familiar in life – the habit of appearing strong even when hurting.
She began with a simple question: have you ever visited someone in prison and how did it feel? The answers were immediate and emotional – sad, heavy, overwhelming. Everyone understood that kind of confinement. But the deeper question followed quietly: what about the prisons no one can see? The ones built from regret, rejection, disappointment, or fear of tomorrow.
