A BBC star has announced their shock exit from a popular weekend show.
The presenter revealed this morning he was leaving his role presenting the weekly programme.
Martin Geissler, 53, revealed to fans he was leaving The Sunday Show.
He has hosted the weekly politics roundup since its launch in February 2021 alongside co-host Fiona Stalker.
It has brought regular interviews, debates and discussions about the big issues each weekend.
But the veteran broadcaster revealed today’s show would be his last.

He didn’t say why he was leaving the programme but insisted he was staying with the Beeb.
Martin said: “That’s it from this edition of the Sunday Show and that’s it from me.
“It’s been a pleasure and a privilege to be with you on your tellies and your radios on a Sunday morning for the best part of five years.
“I’m not leaving the BBC, but this is my last Sunday Show.
“The programme itself will be back, of course, on the telly and on your radios next week.
“Join them then but, from me, for now, bye bye, thanks so much for your company.”
Martin Geissler also hosts the broadcaster’s Scottish news podcast, Scotcast.
It comes as we told how he was tapped for a new role as BBC chiefs announced a huge shake-up of their Scottish content.
It was feared their flagship Good Morning Scotland radio programme could be scrapped and replaced with a new morning show.
Welsh Beeb bosses scrapped their Good Morning Wales show in 2019 and replaced it with BBC Wales Breakfast.
And it was understood there are similar plans for Scotland.
Martin Geissler was tapped as a potential host for the rumoured new morning show, alongside senior BBC Scotland News presenter Laura Maciver.
A source said:“This has come as a shock to everyone.
“Good Morning Scotland is very much seen as the jewel in Radio Scotland’s crown.
“Initially, we were told that a rejig of the morning schedule was being planned but the expectation was that it would survive.
“Now, it looks as if the whole thing could be wound up by the end of the month.”
The revamp is being led by the new head of BBC Scotland’s audio and events.
She was tasked to upgrade the station’s output after being appointed the role in May.
After she got the job for the BBC, Riley promised to create “bold, distinctive content for audiences across the country”.
An insider said: “Victoria is on a mission to ditch all the po-faced middle-class stuff and attract a new audience.”
