
Dominica News Online (DNO) has learned that Chairman of the Electoral Reform Coalition, Johnson Boston, was earlier this evening arrested at his home in Jimmit as police continue to target people involved in the protest against electoral reform legislation held earlier this week.
This brings to eleven, the number of people who so far have been arrested in connection with the protest, according to an ERC source who believes that the police also have other ERC members including UWP leader, Dr. Thomson Fontaine, in their sights.
The other ten persons who have thus far been arrested are:
1. Hector ‘Spags’ John
2. Daniel Lugay
3. Paula Celestine
4. Samuel Durand
5. JnoBaptiste Charles
6. Bernard Moreau
7. Imran Joseph
8. Siri Defoe
9. Clementina Mitchel
10. Moses Prosper
Hector John, Bernard Moreau, and JnoBaptiste Charles have been charged with unlawful assembly and released on bail.
Since the publication of this story, DNO has also learned that one more person, Sorhaindo Durand, has since been arrested, Information also indicates that the persons currently in custody are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
