The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) has confirmed that one of its members is currently under investigation for a criminal offence involving an illegal substance.
In a public notice issued this morning from Camp Blizzard headquarters, the ABDF stated that while they initially began internal proceedings “in accordance with established military protocols,” it was later “determined that the case would proceed under civilian jurisdiction.”
“The ABDF assures the public that it is working in full collaboration with the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda to ensure that justice is served,” the statement read. “This joint approach reflects our unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.”
The military organization emphasized its dedication to maintaining high standards within its ranks, noting that they “remain steadfast in [their] responsibility to uphold the highest standards of discipline and integrity.”
