Grenada’s Hydrocarbons Technical Working Group (TWG) has been appointed by the Cabinet of Grenada to fully assess Grenada’s hydrocarbon potential and, if found to be commercially viable, devise a strategy and action plan to explore, develop and monetise such findings for the benefit of the citizens and the patrimony of the State of Grenada.
The deliverables of the Technical Working Group are
- A comprehensive report on Grenada’s hydrocarbon potential, including an assessment of the geological and geophysical data, estimates of reserves and potential production, recommendations for exploration and development strategies, mitigation measures, and policies and regulations to promote investment and development
- A report on the technical and economic feasibility of developing Grenada’s hydrocarbon reserves
- iii. A report on the potential environmental and social impacts of hydrocarbon exploration and development in Grenada, and strategies to mitigate these impacts
- A report on the legal and regulatory framework required to support the exploration and development of Grenada’s hydrocarbon reserves
- A report on capacity-building initiatives to support the development of a skilled workforce in the hydrocarbon sector in Grenada
- A communication strategy to engage stakeholders, including communities, civil society organisations, and the private sector
- vii. A set of policies and strategies for the sustainable exploration and development of Grenada’s hydrocarbon resources
- viii. Recommendations for potential partners and investors, including a plan to attract and retain them
- A stakeholder engagement plan that outlines the approach, mechanisms and processes for engaging with relevant stakeholders throughout the exploration and development process
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the position of Programme Administrator. The selected candidate will play a key role in providing essential administrative support to the TWG, ensuring operational efficiency and the smooth execution of administrative processes to achieve its objectives.
Core responsibilities of the Programme Administrator include:
- Provide administrative support to the GH-TWG and sub-committees
- Arrange and facilitate internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and handling logistics
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation to support TWG’s operations
- Assist in the preparation of reports, letters, memos, presentations and other official documents as required
- Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for GH-TWG personnel, experts and visiting delegations
- Liaise with government agencies and external stakeholders as required
- Provide administrative support on special projects, research tasks, and process improvements as needed
- Assist in organising workshops, conferences, and official events
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and internal policies in all administrative tasks
The preferred mix of qualifications, experience and competencies includes:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience in administration, business management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative or support role
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent emotional intelligence skills
- Professional demeanour and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry will be an asset.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate must be prepared to work remotely.
