Prime Minister Honourable Dickon Mitchell will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of the Honourable Philip J Pierre for his second consecutive term as Prime Minister of St Lucia.
The ceremony is scheduled for 4 pm today, 5 December, at Government House in Castries.
In addition to Prime Minister Mitchell, former Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines will also be in attendance, along with high-level officials and public servants.
Prime Minister Pierre, who was re-elected on 1 December with a commanding 14-seat majority for the St Lucia Labour Party, will take the oath of office to lead St Lucia into 2026.
During Prime Minister Mitchell’s absence, Honourable Phillip Telesford, Minister for Health, will act as Prime Minister of Grenada.
