The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) notifies the general public, in particular motorists, that The Carenage Public Road from its intersection with Hughes Street will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday, 8 March 2026, from 4 pm to 10 pm.
These arrangements are to facilitate an activity near Renwick and Thompson’s business place, hosted by Power 95.1 FM in collaboration with Geo. F Huggins.
Prior to the presentation, a solidarity walk against Gender-Based Violence will commence from the Belmont traffic light to The Carenage. As a result, the following temporary road closures will be in effect from 5 pm to 7 pm.
- Hughes Street from its intersection with H A Blaize Street
- Burns Point Roundabout from its intersection with Port Highway
- Kirani James Blvd. from its intersection with Alleyne Francique Roundabout
- Gleans Road from its intersection with Belmont Public Road
- Belmont (near traffic light)
Alternative route
Motorists wishing to get to St George’s will be permitted to make a right turn onto Belmont Public Road and exit onto Paddock Main Road, towards Lowthers Lane, onto Lucas Street.
The RGPF apologises for any inconvenience caused and anticipates the cooperation of everyone.
