KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jhadee “Jaii Frais” Richards and Jahvel “Jahvy Ambassador” Morrison were granted bail when they appeared before the Gun Court in downtown Kingston on Friday, each with bail set at $1.5 million.
Justice Natalie Hart Hines granted their bail under specific conditions: they must surrender their travel documents, report to the police three times a week and observe a curfew from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Both men were also cautioned against discussing the case on any podcast.
Richards, represented by attorneys Isat Buchanan and D’ondre Buchanan, faces charges including shooting with intent, wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, and using a weapon to commit a felony.
Morrison, represented by defence attorney Peter Champagnie, is charged with wounding with intent, using a firearm to commit a felony and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The charges stem from an altercation at the Big Wall carnival party between Richards and members of dancehall artiste 450’s entourage, including Morrison, who is the deejay’s manager and producer.
Richards, a member of the entourage and a visitor from the United States, who was a bystander, were shot in the incident.
They are to return to court on July 8.
