A masked man reportedly attempted to rob another man at a service station on Shamrock Road near Pedro Castle Road, police reported.
The perpetrator allegedly approached the intended victim shortly before midnight on Tuesday and demanded money.
“It was reported that a man was outside the location when he spotted a masked man, fully dressed in dark clothing, standing nearby,” the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service said, adding that the masked man appeared to be carrying a firearm.
The target fled towards Shamrock Road and the masked man escaped towards Pedro Castle Road, police said. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
