This New Dominican Republic All-Inclusive Resort Has 8 Pools, a Beach Club, and Swim-Up Rooms

There aren’t many all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana designed this way.

Multiple pools spread across the grounds instead of one crowded center. A waterpark set within reach but not taking over the entire day. Paths that keep families moving between spaces instead of settling into one place.

That’s the idea behind the newest resort coming to one of Punta Cana’s most in-demand addresses.

A new resort inside a proven destination

If you’ve been to Punta Cana recently, you’ve likely come across Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino, which, as we’ve reported, is adding a trio of new all-inclusive Dominican Republic resorts this spring.

It’s one of the most consistently booked resorts in the destination, especially for families planning ahead. Guests return with a clear sense of how they want to use the property, and rooms tend to fill well before peak travel windows.

Now that same footprint is expanding.

Opening in May 2026, Lopesan Splash Cove Resort, Spa & Casino brings a new, family-focused option into the Lopesan complex — a 244-room, all-inclusive resort designed for multigenerational travel.

It’s a separate resort within the same destination, but it doesn’t feel isolated from it. The design leans into the idea that different kinds of travelers can stay in the same place and still experience it in their own way.

A layout that spreads the day out

The design centers on water, but not in the usual way.

Instead of a single focal point, the 8 pools are distributed across the property. Some are set up for activity, with open space for swimming and group use. Others are quieter, with loungers and shaded areas positioned slightly away from the busiest sections.

A dedicated children’s pool gives younger guests their own space while keeping them within view of the rest of the resort.

The waterpark adds another layer, with slides and splash areas placed within the same overall layout rather than set off on its own.

Walkways connect each part of the property through landscaped grounds, keeping distances short and movement easy. You spend time in one area, move to another, and return again later without needing to plan it.

Different parts of the day take shape in different places, without pulling the group apart.

One building, clear sightlines

All 244 rooms are located in a single five-story building.

That keeps everything close and easy to follow.

Elevators replace long walks between buildings, and the transition from room to shared space happens quickly. When you step outside, the main pool areas and gardens are directly in front of you.

You can see where activity is building and where things are quieter, then head in that direction without crossing the entire property.

It simplifies the experience, especially when everyone in your group is moving at a different pace.

Rooms that reflect how familie travel

The accommodations are designed with families in mind.

There are connecting rooms, larger layouts, and two-bedroom options that allow groups to stay together while still having separate space when needed. It works for parents traveling with children, and for extended families sharing a longer stay.

Inside, the design stays clean and bright — white bedding, simple finishes, and terraces or balconies that face outward.

Balconies open toward the pools and gardens, so you’re always aware of what’s happening across the resort.

The room mix reflects how this resort is meant to be used.

Most categories are built as family junior suites, with either king beds or two queen beds, and terraces that open out toward the pools, gardens, or waterpark.

Some rooms look directly onto the waterpark, keeping that part of the resort in view throughout the day. Others face quieter sections, where the pace is slower and the sound drops off.

Balconies open toward the pools and gardens, so you’re always aware of what’s happening across the resort.

There are also swim-up suites, where terraces connect directly to the pool, giving families a way to move between the room and the water without leaving their space.

For larger groups, the layout expands into connecting suites and multi-bedroom options, pairing king rooms with double-queen setups, along with separate living areas and larger terraces.

Dining that moves with you

Dining follows the same pattern as the rest of the resort.

Restaurants and bars are spread across the property rather than centered in one place, giving you different settings throughout the day. You move between them depending on what you feel like, without needing to map it out in advance.

Some meals are quicker and more casual. Others stretch a little longer. The setting changes, but the distance doesn’t.

It keeps everyone in the same general rhythm, even when plans shift.

Access to something larger

Staying at Splash Cove also connects you to the wider Lopesan Costa Bávaro complex, where the experience expands well beyond a single resort.

Additional pools, waterparks, restaurants, and shared spaces are all within reach, giving you more than one environment to move through during the stay.

You might spend the morning inside Splash Cove, head into another part of the complex in the afternoon, and return again later.

Different ages, different preferences, same location.

The Boulevard after dark

Evenings take a different shape here, largely because of The Boulevard.

The Boulevard runs through the complex as an open-air promenade lined with restaurants, shops, bars, and entertainment spaces. It feels more like a shared gathering space than a single venue.

After dinner, families step out and walk.

You see groups stopping for dessert, moving between storefronts, pausing for drinks, then continuing on. Kids stay engaged. Adults don’t have to choose between leaving or staying in one place.

The night stretches out a little longer, without needing to build around a schedule.

Beach access, on your terms

Splash Cove is located about 720 meters from Bávaro Beach.

The shoreline is easy to reach, giving you the option to spend part of the day by the water and return to the resort’s pool areas when you want something more contained.

You move between the two without overthinking it.

Why this opening stands out

Punta Cana has no shortage of family resorts, but few arrive with this level of definition.

Splash Cove is built specifically for families, inside a complex that already draws strong demand, with a layout that allows different kinds of travelers to stay connected without doing the same thing all day.

It builds on what’s already working, while giving it a clearer shape.

That’s why it’s already one of the most anticipated openings in the Dominican Republic this year.

Getting to Punta Cana

Lopesan Splash Cove is located in the Bávaro area of Punta Cana, about 20 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

The airport is one of the busiest in the Caribbean, with nonstop flights from major cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Routes from Miami, New York, Atlanta, Charlotte, Toronto, and Montreal run regularly, along with growing service from other markets.

Once you land, transfers into the resort zone are quick, with most drives taking under half an hour.

I found flights on Frontier from Miami to Punta Cana on Google Flights for about $271 right now in the second week of May — that’s sone of the best Caribbean fares I’ve seen in a while.

Prices at Lopesan Splash Cove

I found room rates at Splash Cove in June for a family junior suite with a tropical view for about $364.50 per night, a decidedly attractive price. For a swim-up family junior suite (with direct pool access), you’re looking at around $503.36 per night. That’s worth the splurge, as we always recommend.
